Marcus Shipton – Co-FounderMarcus leads My Angel Xtra in New Zealand. He has a passion for seeing our communities develop through smart solutions which enhance both the environment and liveability for generations to come. He has a belief in the power of well-managed community crowdfunding as an enabling financing and development model. Marcus has a strong business leadership, technical and relationship management skillset. He holds scientific post-graduate qualifications, currently also leads My Angel Investment (our equity crowdfunding platform) and has significant experience with early-stage growth companies. Marcus has also held numerous technical and managerial roles within larger public and private sector infrastructure businesses across New Zealand, with a water/environmental focus. |

Mark Malcolm – Co-FounderAlongside Marcus, Mark founded My Angel Xtra having researched the rise and development of international crowdfunding models, including their application to significant community projects. Mark is a chartered professional engineer with a Masters degree and management qualifications who has worked internationally and specialised in the leadership and delivery of major infrastructure projects. Mark also has a long-standing interest in start-ups and SME businesses, including their development and financing. Micro-finance models, including using crowdfunding, when combined with practical engineering solutions to help facilitate poverty alleviation and development projects, is also a growing interest area. |
